Summer in Horten - absolutely magical
Summer in Horten is definitely the highlight. With the coast as our closest neighbor, everything is set up for lovely summer evenings. Festivals come and go, and there is entertainment and concerts all around the city. Horten gets a completely different pulse in the summer months, and we live by that pulse for a long time.
Åsgårdstrand - our own riviera
Åsgårdstrand is a little gem, which becomes extra beautiful and full of life in the summer. It is a popular place for boaters, but also for those looking for an experience and a little something to fill up their history books. You can see and experience Munch's house, and be taken on a journey through Munch's eyes. You can also stay overnight at a hotel, enjoy a good meal, take a swim from the pier or the beach.

Do you need a new training goal?
Navy Race is an obstacle course that has put Horten on the map for freestylers in recent years. The obstacle course runs over 8 km at Karljohansvern, and has no less than 30 obstacles with military-inspired (pr)exercises. Here there are opportunities to test both physical and mental strength, perhaps especially on the last obstacle which is a jump out of KNM Narvik with its almost 6 meters down. Navy Race has separate races for children and different classes for adults, so here the whole family can participate and experience mastery of dimensions.

Horten is a town with a lot of history. The history goes all the way back to the Viking Age, when the Vikings ravaged the Borrehaugene. That's why we have Midgard Viking Center , which offers Viking experiences all year round - for the whole family. Horten actually has Northern Europe's largest collection of monumental burial mounds, and we are really proud of that.
