Over the past few years, the city has developed enormously, and has now also established itself as a technology city with several large and medium-sized companies with innovative technology and development that is used all over the world.

Vibrant life and lots of culture

Is there anything happening in Horten, anyway? The answer is YES. There is something happening all the time. Are you a bather?

When we are lucky enough to have the Oslofjord right on our doorstep, it is almost impossible not to enjoy a swim. Some people prefer to save their swimming for the summer months, while others swim all year round. Horten has several good swimming spots and piers, and Rørestrand also has a beach volleyball court for those of you who like that. If you are a little more leisurely, you can take a pit stop at the pub, and get the feeling of being on the riviera. In Horten. How fun is that?

A good substitute for city life
