Norautron supplies technology and professional electronics to industrial businesses worldwide.
The company has customers in maritime shipping, defense, offshore installations, space travel, charging of electric cars and monitoring of shipping ports, airports, etc. – in principle, everything related to industrial electronics. Norautron is experiencing high demand for its services, which has led to the company having a good growth in recent years.

– We have grown from being a small Norwegian player with a turnover of 15 million in 1989 to having passed
billion in 2015. If we include our other companies in Embron Group, we have actually exceeded 1.7
billion. We are quite proud to have achieved this here from our base in Horten, says Øyvind Sedivy, CEO of Norautron AS.

IMPORTANT INDUSTRY CLUSTER

The location in Horten is important for Norautron. Because the marine city is home to a number of leading technology companies, in addition to the University of Southeast Norway with an engineering degree. This results in a fantastic environment within technology and electronics, so that Norautron has access to both expertise and partners right outside its gates.

– We have an industrial cluster in Horten that is completely unique. Fully on par with Kongsberg and Trondheim. In addition, we have a fantastic location, which means that many people want to settle here on the sunny coast with us. Here, people get good book qualities while at the same time being able to work on what they are passionate about. These are important factors in why we have been so successful, says Sedivy.

EXPECTING FURTHER GROWTH

In Asia, Norautron is big in shipping, in the USA the company is an important supplier to the medical and automation industries and in Europe the company is heavily involved in a number of different industries, from aerospace to undersea. From 6000 meters below the sea surface to far out in space we can find Norautron's products. And if we are to believe Sedivy, we do not see any end to the company's growth for the time being.

– Advanced electronics are here to stay. The components are getting smaller and smaller, but they are increasing dramatically in number. We are experiencing that our products are being implemented and used for ever new applications and purposes, so we are looking forward to the future. However, if we are to keep up internationally in the future, we must focus on being both competitive and innovative, and we will certainly continue to do so, concludes Sedivy.
